Room in a Cube

I recently had the opportunity to hang out with some young fellows. I brought some supplies with me to make paper cubes which we made into rooms. Here is mine:
card paper, 2.5" x 2.5" x 2.5"

A Week of 20 Minutes

I have a commitment to do something in a sketch book for 20 minutes a day. Twenty  minutes is my perfect time unit. If there is something that I really don't like to do, filling out a submission form for example, I can do it for 20 minutes. If something requires a little discipline -- like the sketch book thing -- I can give it 20 minutes. It is often a gateway to longer action, but if that doesn't happen, I have the satisfaction of having completed a goal. All of the lichen projects, though not necessarily completed in one 20 minute sitting, were done in that daily practise. This week, I took inspiration from an art card I picked up in San Diego last year and completed a small project each day. Each one is 6 3/8" x 5" (16cm x 13cm), pen and coloured pencil on paper.

The inspiration:

First Outing With a New Camera

And it does a few tricks.

Sadly, the quality of the panorama gets lost on such a small scale.
