A Sewing Post: Origami Skirt

My most recent sewing projects have been made from fabric I had in the cupboard, including the 5 white shirts made from tablecloths. I actually bought fabric for this project, but used a pattern I had made back in the 90's. There was nothing I remembered about the construction and had to actually read the directions carefully. Sometimes several times.  It is not often that I cannot even tell which end is up on a pattern piece. Things did come together.

I didn't give gifts to some folks this Christmas. I gave an assignment. I gave the leaves from here: https://gessotales.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2018-11-23T13:12:00-07:00&max-results=7 . The assignment was to take the leaf on some travel, find a place to put it, and take a photo or 2 to document where it was left. 

The first report came in this week. One leaf went to Reykjavik, Iceland, where trees are scarce:
