When we were in Asheville I saw some beautiful, graceful sculptures uniting wood with sculpted heads. I wanted to do something with that idea. The wood I used is from the pear tree in our yard that has to be cut down and I did, personally, cut this bit down. The head is plasticine. Longevity is not my object here. She is 41 inches/104cm tall.
