When I sit at my computer I can see out the window. There are several large evergreen trees in neighbouring yards. Seeing a bird on the very top is not all that uncommon and yet I stop to watch it.

This is the part of my summer project where I see with my hands by doing. The basic composition and temperament are borrowed from a painting by Steve Coffey  that I saw recently at The Front Gallery.

SP4 - Geometries

In 2005 I travelled to Spain and while in Madrid, went to Galeria Kreisler. An exhibit by Carlos Evangelista (see the 'artistas' at the gallery link) was being hung. Carlos was there and gave me a catalogue, hence my better memory of the exhibit. The pieces are large  geometric wood or metal wall or floor sculptures. Completely not what I do, but I really liked them. I used the basic geometric forms of his pieces to play with forms in blue and black:
