Summer Sewing 1

I have dipped into my fabric cupboard. It is not very big, and not packed full, but all the same, I pulled a few garments out of it recently. 

For me: culotte/skirt made from fabric I bought at the Heritage Festival a few years ago. The bulk of it was made into a table cloth. I was inspired to make it based on a forecast of more than 2 days in a row of hot weather.

"We Are Tired Of Covid-19"

Yesterday, May 16, we had the "We are tired of covid-19" burning event. 

 The virus was immediately engulfed in flame, but it took quite a long time to burn completely.

I guess that is how it will be. 

The Beginnings of Another Letter Book

This will be an on-going project, or at least a project that will go on for a long time because I have started it well in advance. This is the 3rd letter book I have assembled. The first two were similar; the third book is going to the same household as book #2 so I have to come up with new things. Each letter has 2 parts: an introductory page using photos of family members whose names start with the letter, or in the absence of a family member, an object that is well known to the recipient. The second part is a pouch with objects or replicas that start with the letter, things that can be handled and played with. 

Here are my first objects. Clearly, I am not starting in any particular order: turtle, pinecone, pineapple, and worms. Cashmere/merino worms. Nothing but the best.
