Maple leaf #10 went to Kolkata in November, 2019
It spent some time in a "safe place." The kind of safe place that one forgets. We have all done it. The leaf was found recently and then the discussion about what should be done ensued. There was some reluctance to leave it behind somewhere, but the notion of yarn-bombing took hold. A beautiful location was found: The Victoria Memorial Grounds.
The Victoria Memorial is a large marble building which was built between 1906 and 1921. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria (1819 - 1901). It is now a museum and tourist destination. The memorial lies on the Maiden (grounds) by the bank of the Hooghly River.
Thank you to Hamza and Afzal.
(I will knit you some leaves to keep, if you would like)
